May 5 at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street – “American Hospitals:  Healing A Broken System”

 This video addresses the issues of justice, equity, and compassion, since we all deserve to receive good healthcare; and advances the idea that we shouldn't have a two-tiered system for the haves and the have nots. Our current system is destroying access to healthcare for everyone. The video and following discussion should help us to be more informed regarding the complicated issues affecting our healthcare system.

 American Hospitals is the fourth in a series of documentaries produced by the Unfinished Business Foundation, founded by Richard Master, CEO of MCS Industries Inc., who took a deep dive into the economics of the U.S. health-care system after his company was hit year after year with double-digit health insurance rate increases. Master teamed up with filmmakers Vincent Mondillo and Henry Nevison to produce Fix It: Healthcare at the Tipping Point; Big Pharma: Market Failure; Big Money Agenda: Democracy on the Brink, and now, American Hospitals.

 Childcare is available every Sunday. Zoey Cronin will lead a formal children's program on second and fourth Sundays.  

 Children are welcome to participate on any Sunday, but they will get the most out of the program if they attend second and fourth Sundays somewhat regularly. Family adults may stay for the children's program or attend the adult program. Children are encouraged to bring a small item that represents someone or something they are grateful for that week.

 There are speakers on the patio if you wish to listen to the service outside.

Masks are now optional, but their use is encouraged. We will continue to serve refreshments on the patio and in the building. Visitors are always welcome.
