"I worked at @McDonalds when I was a student, doing french fries and ice cream. There wasn't a family relying on me to pay the bills — but that's the reality for too many workers today. Proud to stand with @SEIU today for livable wages and a safe working environment." – posted on X, 4:28 PM, June 14, 2019.

You instinctively know the 2024 Presidential Campaign is nearing an end when one of the candidates boasted she spent time as a cook and ice cream server at the Golden Arches.

Obstensibly, to supplement her income while attending Howard University, a private federally charted university in Washington D.C.

So, she knows a little something about minimum wage, fast-food deep friers and throwing together Double-Macs with cheese.

She's repeated her McDonald's experience several times on various venues, including another post on X as recently as 3:30 PM, Aug. 17, 2024.

Innocent enough. Thousands of kids and college students have worked at McDonalds and similar joints. No disgrace in that.

My daughter was a Sonic employee while attending college. I have a granddaughter at a state university doing the same thing at Chipotles.

Actually, these types of jobs are kind of a training ground for future employment opportunities.

Except, in Kamala's case, there's some doubt she actually participated in kitchen activities, or any other part of the restaurant's operations.

I agree, the veracity of her story seems of little consequence except – like her Vice-Presidential running mate, Tim Walz's bogus claim of being a National Guard Sergeant Major – if her narrative isn't any more factual than his, then we might have a problem.

If that's the case, they are both serving us whoppers – and I'm not talking about Burger King's.

With about two months before the November General Election, and both candidates pressed to get their messages across to the public, the exaggeration of facts is to be expected. For nothing else, to entertain voters with fanciful tales of their life's experiences – real or imagined.

Joe Biden is exceptionally talented in concocting these fantasies. His "Cannibals ate my Uncle Bosie" saga is classic. Maybe his best yet.

Only, in Joe's case, he probably thinks it actually happened. Hoping, at least, Biden flesh is good for something other than 50 years of political intrigues and silliness.

Kamala's allegories are less imaginative, but no less amusing. Instead of cannibals having a supporting feature of the storyline, her employment at a drive-thru hamburger business is not quite as dramatic. If, it occurred.

Although a cannibal would probably enjoy a tasty Happy Meal every now and then – to add a little variety to the diet.

Apparently, there's accusations Kam's McDonalds reports are more myth than matter. Another posting on X insists –

BREAKING: "McDonald's Corporate sources have come forth and said they have no record of Kamala Harris working at any of their locations.

"Who lies about working at a McDonalds?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣"
12:28 PM, Aug 29, 2024

Personally, I'm not overly concerned if Kamala flipped burgers, cooked fries or handed out orders at the window.

If she omitted her time at McDonald's on future job applications that's her choice. Assuming, she actually worked there.

On the other hand, to admit she's a McDonalds vet – when she may not be – isn't kosher, either.

With numerous video news clips of her substantiating her association with McDonalds, and now an apparent lack of evidence and documentation verifying these claims tends to subtract from the credibility of the story.

Simply, did she work at McDonalds or not?

It shouldn't be very difficult for her to cite the location of the restaurant she worked in, names of managers and workers there at the time, or friends she may have made. People who would have recollection of her employment.

Supposedly, her time at McDonalds was in the mid-1980s, while she was attending Howard.

If so, there has to be some evidence, somewhere, corroborating her account. Computers and data storage were around then, as were payroll documents, IRS tax records and banking statements.

As mentioned, video film lasts a long time. Something Kamala might keep in mind whenever she gets the urge to flip her story and report something entirely different from what she previously said.

You can bet someone will find the tape proving otherwise.

She and Tim recently did a joint 16-minute CNN News interview – their first since becoming the Democrat Presidential nominees – in which she openly admitted "My values haven't changed."

The pre-edited show was a typical media presentation – few practical questions, followed by equally hollow answers.

"Real Time" host, Bill Maher remarked about the lack of Kamala interviews and CNN's amateurish questions – "Now she finally does (an interview) and not a single question about abortion, Ukraine, the homeless, the Opioid crisis, the national debt." Or the open border.

"And then they wonder why the kids get their news from TikTok," he joked.

If an entertainment liberal has the phony Democratic influenced media figured out, then it shouldn't be overly difficult for the rest of us to see what's going on.

As often the case, things are not as they appear. Especially in national politics. Nor are Kamala's reversible opinions and gobbledygook explanations.
