The holidays are a great time to give back to our community, and Small Business Saturday provides a perfect opportunity to support our local economy and locally owned businesses by shopping downtown. All of the businesses located in Historic Downtown Silver City are locally owned and offer a wide variety of holiday gifts, food, drinks, and more.
Additionally, November 30, 2024 is New Mexico’s Small Business Saturday Tax Holiday. A wide variety of merchandise qualifies for tax free.
Thanks to the support of volunteers, the Town of Silver City Streets Division, and local donors the Silver City MainStreet Project is able to decorate downtown each year with holiday lights and banners. Downtown is a great place to shop year round and will be feeling especially festive on November 30. The Downtown Historic District is home to more than 75 restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, art galleries, and a wide variety of retail shops.
Silver City MainStreet Project’s iconic Lighted Christmas Parade takes place on Small Business Saturday. The 34th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade features over 30 entries and starts at 7:00 pm. This schedule provides a unique and festive opportunity for a day of shopping, dining, and parade watching.
