The Grant County Community Concert Association presents Good Shot Judy on Thursday, October 24th in the WNMU Fine Arts Theater at 7 PM.
How do you create a show that tickles your memory and makes you want to stand up and dance? You take talent, family, and love of a genre that brings a big sound and spectacle to the stage.
Good Shot Judy was started by brothers Brett and Jeff Cahoon as they stepped away from their successful punk band Ten Years from Now and followed another interest in old-time jazz standards. Starting with a small combo they found the music needed more and filled out Good Shot Judy with a full complement of horns, percussion and voice.
Come and enjoy a big amp jazz band that has one-foot dancing in the past and one in the here and now.
Individual tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Pink Store on Bullard, on-line at gcconcerts.org or at the door the night of the concert. Children to age 17 are admitted free of charge.
This concert is made possible in part by CreativeWest and the National Endowment for the Arts, 1st New Mexico Bank and WNMU.
