Silver City MainStreet Project Community Collaboration Meeting to Feature LULAC Council 8003

SILVER CITY, NM — The Silver City MainStreet Project and Arts and Cultural District announces the speaker for the Thursday, March 7, Community Collaboration Meeting at 9:00 am at the Silco Theater, 311 North Bullard Street, in downtown Silver City.Â
"We are thrilled to feature LULAC Council 8003 and council President, Fred Baca, and council member, Javier Marrufo," said Cindy "Renee" Provencio, Silver City MainStreet Project Administrative Assistant and LULAC Council 8003 Member. "LULAC stands for League of United Latin American Citizens and is a national civil rights organization. LULAC Council 8003's focus is on education and has the great honor of hosting the next LULAC State Convention in May."
"The featured speakers for the next Community Collaboration meeting will inform us about the organization that is LULAC, as well as inform us about the LULAC State Convention they are hosting in Silver City in May," Provencio said. "LULAC Council 8003 is looking for volunteers and sponsors for the LULAC State Convention. We are exited to learn more about the mission of our local council and how the community can get involved with LULAC and the State Convention they are hosting. Community Collaboration Meetings are free and open to the public. The monthly meetings provide an opportunity for nonprofits, merchants, and community members to connect, collaborate, and share project and event updates.Â
