The Silver City Public Library will host a digital services workshop on Monday, October 21, 10:00am-11:30am. Learn how to use your library card to access free e-books; downloadable audiobooks; downloadable movies, TV, and music; language learning; and more. We'll cover setup for Libby, hoopla, Flipster, Kanopy, Rocket Languages, and free access to The New York Times. We'll discuss how to use Ancestry while in the library, too! No registration necessary. Not Dead Yet Club

The group covers important topics such as memorials, burial, end-of-life options, home health care and hospice, estate planning, fears, and perspectives on afterlife. The library is pleased to host Steve Havill to talk about his latest book, Perfect Opportunity! Steven F. Havill lives with his wife of more than half a century, Kathleen, in Datil, New Mexico. A former high school teacher of biology and English, Havill is the author of more than thirty novels, including the Dr Thomas Parks historical mystery series, the long-running Posadas County police procedurals featuring retired Sheriff Bill Gastner and Undersheriff Estelle Reyes-Guzman, and several standalones.
