Spring Break Drama Camp for Ages 6-10: "Ye Olde Village"

From Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21, young actors will embark on a journey back in time to a whimsical village in the past! Under the guidance of teacher Elliza Mollman, students will explore what village life was like long ago through acting out short plays and engaging in fun, village-themed drama activities. Young participants will take on imaginative roles like the butcher, the mayor, the chimney sweep, the Pied Piper, and even rats, as they work together to bring the village to life.

Throughout the camp, students will explore important themes of community, cooperation, and the value of learning through storytelling. They will have a blast creating their own village stories, each with a "teachable lesson" that reflects the values of working together. This camp is perfect for young actors looking to grow their creativity and teamwork while having fun!

Spring Break Performance Camp for Ages 10+: "Perstephanie Goes Underground"
For older students, Starlight Theatre will offer an exciting performance camp from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21. This camp, led by teacher Wendy Spurgeon, will introduce teens to the comedic retelling of the Greek myth of Persephone, titled "Perstephanie Goes Underground."

In this fun and imaginative play, Perstephanie, the young Greek Goddess of Spring, decides to take a job in the Underworld in hopes of gaining more freedom and respect from her overprotective mother. However, things don't go as planned, and Perstephanie learns valuable lessons about growing up, becoming independent, and the importance of knowing when to let go.

This camp is not only a great introduction to Greek mythology, but it also provides an opportunity for teens to learn about character development, storytelling, and the art of comedic performance. Auditions are required for participation.
