SILVER CITY, NM – The Murray Ryan Visitor Center is hosting a new exhibit of work by local artist Val Weston in the Visitor Center's Art Alcove, April 4 through June 1, 2025. The exhibit's opening reception will take place on Friday, April 4, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center, 201 North Hudson Street in Silver City. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
Weston is a photographer and digital artist who uses modern tools to create artwork across the themes of life that connect us all — from the nature around us to the world we've built. "Val's unique artistic process captures the beauty and magic of both our southwest landscape and everyday scenes," said Marcia Tinker, local artist and curator of the Murray Ryan Visitor Center's Art Alcove.
The Friday afternoon opening reception provides a great opportunity to kick-off First Friday at the Galleries before enjoying dining, shopping, and more artwork downtown.
