Since the age of 4, Diego Rivero has dreamt of one day attending an Ivy League school and becoming an anesthesiologist.
Diego is now 11 years old, and his dream hasn't changed, but he eagerly toured New Mexico State University as part of the William Conroy Honors College's Day as an NMSU Student program, which hosted groups of Sonoma Elementary School and Sierra Middle School students May 3. During the day, students learned more about the astronomy, computer science, physics and communication departments and the Creative Media Institute, and toured a couple of dorm rooms at Garcia Hall.

New Mexico State University's Agricultural Experiment Station is kicking off its annual field day season at the Leyendecker Plant Science Research Center May 22.

The NMSU Public Health Heroes Awards, now in its ninth year, recognize and celebrate local public health heroes for their ongoing contributions and commitments to public health. New Mexico State University graduate student Esperanza Chairez Uriarte answers that question through a zine she co-created in collaboration with community members over the course of three public workshops.

KRWG Public Media, Las Cruces' public broadcasting for television and radio, earned nearly two dozen awards at the 2024 New Mexico Press Women (NMPW) Conference. KRWG's eight first-place winners will now compete in the national contest. Awards were given for radio, television, digital and student reporting.
