MonjeAnaIt is with Great sadness that the family of Ana Gonzalez Monje, 81, entered eternal rest Sunday 22, 2024 at her home in Santa Clara, NM. She was born to Guillermo and Carmen M. Gonzalez.

Ana went to WNMU for culinary and she graduated with an associates degree. She enjoyed baking, playing Bingo, playing her solitaire game while she was drinking her coffee in the morning. Ana enjoyed sewing, crocheting and showing her great granddaughter. She also enjoyed bowling and going to the casino with Ruben Murillo, her cousin. Ana really loved to travel and her evenings outside watching the sunset. Ana really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her Great grandchildren.

Ana is survived by her three children, Bonnie A. Gomez, CAPTIAN (Ret) USN Joseph A. Gomez & wife, Emma, Margie Gomez & companion Alfredo Flores; her two brothers, Raul (Lupe) Gonzalez and Patricio "Pat" (Joann) Gonzalez; her eleven grandchildren and twenty-one Great-grandchildren; her numerous nephews and nieces.

Ana was preceded in death by parents; her loving husband Nick Monje; and grandson Nicholas R. Bustamante; her three sisters, Luz Teran, Angie Frias (Benjiman) and Estrella Gonzalez; her two brothers, Guillermo Gonzalez Jr (Virginia) and Carlos Gonzalez (Lita).

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 from 5:00-6:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels in Santa Clara, NM with the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:00pm with Deacon Richard Maynes Jr. reciting. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at 1:00pm at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating. Concluding the service, an Interment will follow at Hurley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe A. Gomez, Andrew Gomez, Lorenzo Gomez, Izaiden Baca, Joseph and Nicholas Gomez. Honorary Pallbearers are Jonathan Baca, Anthony Stewart, Tyler Gomez, Gary White, Jordan Robertson, Daniel Inge and the rest of her Grand and Great Grandchildren.
