Clee Crumbley, 62 years old, of Bayard, formerly of Silver City, passed away July 9, 2024 after a 6 year long hard-fought battle with cancer. Clee was born Oct 28,1961 to Raymond Crumbley and Jo Ann Grimes Crumbley in Silver City, NM.
Clee attended school in Cliff then started his long career of driving a truck following in his dad's footsteps. Clee owned Crumbley Trucking and C & J Trucking, where he hauled mostly oversize loads. Clee self-taught himself to work on his own trucks and after he wrecked his last truck, he rebuilt another truck and then hung it up working on trucks. Clee met many people around the country and has many lifelong friends that were all special part of his life. His grandkids who called him "critter" was from his handle.
Clee leaves behind his mother, Jo Ann Grimes Passig; his daughter, Kalyn (Mario) Adams; his grandchildren, Marnie, Braylee, Paxston, Scarlett and Pistol; his step-daughter, Shay Peterson; his grandchildren, Clayton, Cody, and Martina; his sisters Sue Ann Mattox, Bonnie (Will) Hille; his many nieces and nephews; his special cousins, Deily Crumbley and Jack Crumbley. He was preceded in death by wife, Jo Ann Fowler (2023); his father, Raymond Crumbley (1975), his sister, Sarah R Crumbley (1984); his brother, Clinton Passig (2004); his grandparents, William (Goo) and Vernon Grimes, Delia and Dezia Crumbley.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00am at Gila Mesa Cemetery in Gila, NM. Pallbearers will be Deily Crumbley, Jack Crumbley, Jeb Fowler, Jim Fowler, Rusty McCauley, Mike Williams, Rene Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Grimes, Mario Adams, Clayton Peterson.
