It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we the family announce the death of our brother Librado (Lalo) R. Cordova, 67, of Santa Clara, N. M. on September 1, 2024 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N. M.
Librado (Lalo) is survived by 3 daughters Kathleen Holguin, Nicolette Ortiz and Krisandra Denise Nunley and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters Connie C. Ruiz (Jose Luis) and Erlinda C. Serrano (Joe) both from El Paso, Tx. and Sara C. Evans from Sunsites/Pearce AZ; 5 brothers Ismael, Rafael (Ralph), David, Jose of Santa Clara N.M. and Javier (Cyndi of Green Bay Wisconsin; a special niece Angelina C. Garcia of Glendale, Az and a nephew Ramon Marquez III of Colby, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father Guadalupe C. Cordova, his mother Engracia R. Cordova, 2 brothers Guadalupe R. Cordova Jr and Albert R. Cordova, a sister Maria Inez C. Marquez and his special Godson, Salvador Ray Cordova. He is also survived by his special friends Lino Woods and Bobby Lucero along with many others.
Librado graduated from Cobre High School in Bayard, N.M. and went on to enlist in the U.S. Army. After he worked in The Asarco Mine, he worked construction and later worked for the Village of Santa Clara, N.M. Librado enjoyed listening to his music, spending time with his brothers and helping his mother around the home.
His Mass is scheduled for Saturday September 28, 2024 at 10 A.M at the Santa Clara Catholic Church with cremains to be buried after at the Santa Clara Cemetery. Lalo was very much loved, and he will be missed so very much by those of us who loved him. May he be blessed with a renewed life in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and may he forever rest in peace in His loving arms.
