Mo Adkanian, 75, of Deming, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his home. He was surrounded by his wife, Marlene Adkanian, née Miuccio and his children, Aryan Adkanian of Deming, and Aryana Adkanian, of Winthrop, Massachusetts.
Mo was born in Tehran, Iran on April 1, 1949, and he moved to Illinois in 1978 to finish his degree in civil engineering. He moved to Deming in 2019 to retire with his wife of 31 years.
Throughout his life, Mo enjoyed photography, comedy and do-it-yourself projects, as well as watching boxing, soccer and football.
He is also survived by his 4 stepdaughters, several step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren, and his family in Iran, including his brother, Parviz Adkanian; sister, Akram Falahat, 3 nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ali Adkanian and Maryam Mohammadian.
His family will hold a quiet celebration of life in November, where they will remember the jokes he told and love he shared.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
