Our beloved Sandra Lou Seay passed away on April 24, 2024 at her residence in Silver City, NM. She was 82 years young. She was born to her parents, Randolph Riley and Lettie (Chestnut) Watkins in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on July 2, 1941. Sandra spent 35 years teaching elementary and middle school her in Silver City, NM. She was an outstanding teacher and she will be missed by a great many students. Sandra found herself working alongside her husband, Dexter at Schadel's Bakery. They purchased the bakery after Sandra retired from teaching.
Although Sandra did not have a lot of time for herself, she did so much for her family including being a caregiver to her mother, mother-in-law, her brother and finally to her husband, she loved her Sorority Sisters and belonging to Beta Sigma Phi. Her Sorority Sisters just celebrated her 60th anniversary in memoriam. Sandra also really enjoyed bowling. She and the whole family had been on many bowling leagues through the years.
Both her mother, Lettie Brewer and her brother, Calvin Watkins preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Dexter Seay; her son Albert Seay, his wife Tamara and grandson Jason Seay; and her daughter Sherry Zufelt and grandson Jacob Seay.
We loved you so much! You are missed!
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:00am, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels in Santa Clara, NM.  The funeral service will commence at 10:00am with Pastor Tom Sylvia officiating.  Interment will follow the services at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City, NM. Pallbearers are Jason Seay, Jacob Seay, Dave Crosley, Preston Harper, John Carter and Raven Arellia.
