This active participatory service will recognize the two high holidays known as Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Wednesday, October 2 and ends at sundown on Friday, October 4. Rosh Hashanah, literally the "head of the year" is the Jewish New Year. It is a time of inner renewal and divine atonement. Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) falls on October 11th and 12th.
Oct 5 - Blessing of the Animals - Church of the Good Shepherd, 7th and Texas, in the parking lot. 11 a.m. Celebrating the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment. Bring your animals!

62-year-old male has heart health issues/told brother he was leaving for Tucson this morning at 4:45/he hasn't arrived yet/his mother and brother-in-law live in the house in front of him if there are any questions. GCSO deputy spoke with mother and brother-in-law who advised he left about 30 minutes ago/calling caller.
