Robert "Bobby" M. Perez, 70, an Army Veteran and resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, September 26, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital & Health Center in Tucson, AZ. He was born January 13, 1954 to his parents, Albert and Ruby (Moreno) Perez in Santa Rita, NM.

Bobby was loved by so many. He will be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rafaelita "Lita" (Trujillo) Perez; his son, Christopher Perez (Chandra) of Portland, OR; his daughter, Darlene "Dini" Perez (Antonio Lopes) of Gilbert, AZ; his two brothers, Albert Perez, Jr. of Silver City, NM and Richard Perez (Gina) of Yuma, AZ; his three sisters, Lillian Villalobos (Arnold) of Las Cruces, NM, Margaret Medina (Ruben) of Silver City, NM and Laura Cruz (Edward) of Las Cruces, NM; his three grandchildren, Corina Meza, Bobbi Meza and Kyleigh Perez; his one great-grandchild, Ella Grace Foreman; his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carmen L. Schubert, 81, former resident of Deming passed away Wednesday October 9, 2024 in Denver, Colorado. Arrangements are pending.

Mark Alan Boyle, 62, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his residence. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.

"Welcome home," said the Lord to Faye Arlene McDonald, 97, on October 12, 2024. She passed away quietly at her home in Lordsburg with family beside her.

Faye was born on June 2, 1927, in Duncan, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maude McDonald; baby brother Charles and brother Gene McDonald; stepsisters Vera Craddock, Alene Smith, Ilva Pruett; and stepbrother Ace Hillman.

Her survivors include her niece Sandra Shoon; nephew Tom Shoon; niece Shirley Smith and Mason; nieces Patty Tate and Ted and Beverly Hawks; and nephews Douglas and JoAnn McDonald and Jeffrey McDonald.

Faye was a member of the Lordsburg Elks Lodge and the First Baptist Church. At the age of five until her death at age 97, Faye attended the FBC. While there she served on many committees, was secretary of her junior class, secretary of her adult women's Sunday School class, served on the Kitchen Committee, worked at Vacation Bible School and the Ladies Luncheon.

There will be graveside services at Mountain View Cemetery on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

Christopher Stuart Eng entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024. During the course of his long and interesting life, he proudly served his country as a United States Marine, his community as a Mounted Patrol Officer, and his family as a generous husband, father, and grandfather.

After his service in the USMC, he used his GI bill to pursue a degree in history at the University of New Mexico, where he met his wife of 56 years, Joan Konopak. His degree led to a job with UNM, where he worked until shortly after his two sons, Nils and Eric were born. He moved the family to Silver City, NM and worked for many years as a foreman in the copper mines before re-entering university service at Western New Mexico University. In retirement, he worked at Foxworth Galbraith Lumber and became heavily involved in community service through various service organizations including the Juvenile Probation Office, the Boys and Girls Club, Masonic Charities, and the New Mexico Mounted Patrol, where he ended his career as Southwest District Captain.

Tamatha "Tami" Gehl Legarda, 55, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, October 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born January 4, 1969 to her parents, Michael and Pamela (Allan) Williams, in Silver City, New Mexico.

Tami was a positive light and inspiration in so many people's lives. As a Grant County native,
born and raised, she held many different careers throughout her life. From truck driving to
waitressing to teaching children, Tami did it all. She was an outstanding homemaker and loved
to cook and host gatherings. Much of her free time was spent outdoors camping and enjoying
the company of her husband Rudy, family, and friends. She was incredibly strong in her faith
and her church, Our Lady of Fatima, was like a second home. Her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and God-children were the light of her life and she treated them all like her own.
Her dog Lucy was always by her side and a constant companion. She will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and community.
