Anna (King) Flores, 62, Pasadena, TX resident went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on April 19, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
Anna was born on December 10, 1961 to Martha Sedillo and Lucky King in Deming. She worked for Kroger Retail Company for 30 years, Anna was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved her family and her grandchildren very much. Enjoy spending time with them.
Those left to mourn her are her husband; Emmett Flores, daughters; Martha Rose, Amanda and Cheyenne Gonzalez; 6 grandchildren all of Pasadena, TX; her siblings; Debra King Garcia of Deming, Rosalie (Greg) Valdespino of Deming, Cynthia (Benny) Nevarez of Las Cruces, Edward (Loretta) King of Hobbs, Sonya Puente of Lovington and Margaret Ann (Stephen) Mejorado of Hobbs, many nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Sedillo, brother Ernest P. King and grandmother Marie Sedillo.

Manuela Chavez Castillo, 89, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Â She was born on December 23, 1934, in Palomas, Mexico, to Daniel Rodriguez Chavez and Antonia Corona Chavez. Â Manuela married Jose Lujan Castillo and they were married for 48 years and had 8 children.
Manuela was first and foremost a devoted mother, grandmother and wife who was a mother figure to many of the neighborhood children, as well. Manuela was a devout Catholic and was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she attended faithfully for the past 67 years. Â She was a Eucharistic Minister, a proud member of the Guadalupanas, a Cursillista, the church choir, and the Altar Society. Â She was always helping with bingos, making tamales for the annual church fiesta and was well known for her famous salsa and the best gorditas.
She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, traveling far and wide with her husband and a grandchild or two in their motor home, camping and fishing (and she loved to rub it in when she caught more fish than her husband). Â She spent many hours working on jigsaw puzzles and was always ready to challenge anyone to a game of Chinese Checkers.
Henry "Kiki" M. Silva, 67, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at his home in Hurley, NM.Â
As a young man he liked to hike. He would go to Geronimo Mountain, Bee Ranch and the Pillas. He enjoyed hanging out with his Bro's from Hurley and riding his Harley peddle bike. He always made sure the stray cats were fed.
His favorite genres of music were chicanadas, oldies and mariachi. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys and he liked to watch the Price is Right on TV. Some of his favorite sayings were "manana" and "No y Tu."
Henry loved his Lord Jesus. He also believed that his spirit animals were the unicorn and mountain lion. They awaited him on Geronimo Mountain.
Marian Serna, 79, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered into eternal rest, surrounded by all her loving family on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her residence. Â

Sharon (Shay) Ann Morgan, 84, long-time resident of Silver City passed away Monday, May 13, 2024.
Sharon was born July 18, 1939, to Vera M. (John) and William L. Morgan in Raton, NM. Sharon graduated from Clayton High School in 1957 and went on to graduate from Western New Mexico University with a degree in Education. She also claimed the title of Miss Hurley in the Miss New Mexico Beauty Pageant in 1958.
Sharon spent her life as an educator: a teacher at Silver City Consolidated Schools and Animas Public School. Later, she was employed at Phelps Dodge in the Assay Lab. Above all, Sharon was a lover of nature and animals. She was a fierce advocate for the reintroduction of the Mexican Gray Wolf in Grant County and an active supporter of the Defenders of Wildlife in New Mexico. She enjoyed exploring local trails with her dogs, and rescuing cats.
John Franklin Carpenter, 90, Deming resident went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the comfort of his home.
John was born March 13, 1934 in El Paso, TX to Lester and Alice (Vineyard) Carpenter, the first of four children. He was raised in Hatch, NM, where he attended school until due to a broken neck from a car accident in which he was a passenger, he fell behind and ultimately quit school altogether. At the age of 17 he bought his first truck to haul hay and from then on, the diesel bug bit him and he remained in trucking for the next 47 years, owning and operating 8 more trucks before retiring in 1998. He was proud of his chosen profession and told everyone he never worked a day because he truly enjoyed what he did. After retirement John and his wife volunteered for 10 years with the Oregon State Parks and the National Park Service before relocating to Deming in 2005.
Dexter Hugh Seay, 82, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his residence. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
