Frank Moises Ogas, 64, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Silver City Care Center in Silver City, NM. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
Robert Gutierrez Sandoval, 77, an Army veteran entered eternal rest Thursday, December 28, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1947 in Silver City, NM to Hipolito Sandoval and Dora Madero.
Robert worked for Surplus City, he was a firefighter and worked for CPS, which turned into Texas New Mexico Power, now PNM and he was employed with the power company for 48 years. He retired January 2021. His hobbies he enjoyed were hunting and fishing. He was in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968 he serviced in the Army, he proudly volunteered in the Color Guard Chapter 358.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Sandoval of the family home; two sons, Robert John Sandoval and wife Heather of Modesto, CA; Jonathan Arroyos of Gillette, WY; one daughter, Trina Gojkovich and husband Danny of Gillette, WY; seven grandchildren, Jerika Sargent, Lacey Gojkovich, Hailey Gojkovich, Robert Anthony Sandoval, Xavier Sandoval, Madison Arroyos, and Robert Gene Arroyos; two great grandchildren, Grayson and Emma; his sister, Gina Maestas and husband James of Silver City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-dad, Robert Madero; his special aunt, Stella Castillo.
John Henry Fowler, 91, an Army Veteran and resident of Mimbres, NM entered eternal rest Monday, December 30, 2024 at Village of North Rise in Las Cruces, NM. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
Thomas Leland Brake was born July 10, 1937 to Donald and Ruth (O'Dea) Brake in Columbus, Ohio. He went home to be with to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1955. He attended Ohio State University studying Mining Engineering and worked for 6 months in a coal mine in West Virginia. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1959 and served 3 years aboard the U.S. Forrestal. He earned an Associate Degree in Electronics from Columbus Institute of Technology, then worked at Sandia Lab in Albuquerque, NM. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from WNMU, he taught Math and Science at Silver High School in Silver City, NM. He then earned both a Bachelor and a Master of Science of Engineering from NMSU. After receiving his engineering degrees, he worked for the U.S. Geological Survey in Farmington, NM, the U.S. Forest Service in Springerville, AZ, the Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, TX, Johnson Control World Services in Los Alamos, NM and Los Alamos National Lab in Las Vegas, NV, on the Yucca Mountain Project. He retired from Los Alamos at the end of 2000 and returned to Silver City, where he started his own business, Gila Engineering and Testing. After 10 years he retired a second time.
Esther Ida Morgan, 71, resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Silver City, NM. She was born April 4, 1953 to her parents, Ernest and Barbara Lee (Mattocks) Walker in Alamogordo, NM.
Visitations will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00am-11:00am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Funeral Service commencing at 11:00am, with Pastor Randy Teague officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memory Lane where she will be laid to rest.

Leandro S. Dominguez Sr., 87, resident of Faywood, NM, entered eternal rest Sunday, December 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born on December 25, 1937 to his parents Valentin and Consuelo (Silva) Dominguez in Silver City, NM.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 8:30am-9:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels, with the Holy Rosary commencing at 9:30am, recited by Alicia De La Torre. The Funeral Mass will then move to Infant Jesus Shrine (Hurley) at 11:00am officiated by Father Bhastati Sudhakar. Interment will be following the mass at San Juan Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Dominguez, Jr., Randy James Dominguez, Jr., Steven Alvarado, Armando Ramos, Sai Nakoa, Leandro S. Dominguez, Tobias Dominguez, Kuntry Covington. Honorary Pallbearers are the rest of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James Eugene Britton, "JB", 66, of White Signal, NM, passed away December 23, 2024, after a 5-year battle with Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
JB was born May 9, 1958, to Iona Joan Scott and Arthur James Britton, in Lodi, Ohio. As a child he moved to Quemado, New Mexico. There he liked to explore the salt mines with his dad, and swim in the bottomless volcanoes. He even got to meet the astronauts who were training for the moon landing.
At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Czechoslovakia. While there he continued bull riding with the European Rodeo Association. There he became the 1977 bull riding Champion, and in 2019 JB was inducted into the Military Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Three years later he returned to New Mexico where he met the love of his life, Susan. They were married in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1979. Then they moved to Silver City, New Mexico where they raised two girls and two boys.
