Joe Garcia Gutierrez Jr., 68, a resident of Hurley, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX. Joe was born August 8, 1956 to his parents, Joe Fletcher and Mary Lou (Garcia) Gutierrez in Silver City, NM.
Our Joe was larger than life and was loved by many. His life centered around his wife, children, grandchildren, and cats. He was an excellent Registered Nurse and his patients and their families adored him. He may have continued to work but he suffered many painful accidents whilst riding his beloved Harley Davidson. Those accidents made it to where he could ride nor work any longer. One thing he never lost was his faith, so much so that when he was nearing the end of his life he called out and reached for the Lord. Now he is riding free in God's graces.

It is with Great sadness that the family of Ana Gonzalez Monje, 81, entered eternal rest Sunday 22, 2024 at her home in Santa Clara, NM. She was born to Guillermo and Carmen M. Gonzalez.
Ana went to WNMU for culinary and she graduated with an associates degree. She enjoyed baking, playing Bingo, playing her solitaire game while she was drinking her coffee in the morning. Ana enjoyed sewing, crocheting and showing her great granddaughter. She also enjoyed bowling and going to the casino with Ruben Murillo, her cousin. Ana really loved to travel and her evenings outside watching the sunset. Ana really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her Great grandchildren.
Ana is survived by her three children, Bonnie A. Gomez, CAPTIAN (Ret) USN Joseph A. Gomez & wife, Emma, Margie Gomez & companion Alfredo Flores; her two brothers, Raul (Lupe) Gonzalez and Patricio "Pat" (Joann) Gonzalez; her eleven grandchildren and twenty-one Great-grandchildren; her numerous nephews and nieces.

Evelyn Madrid Pino, 86, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Edgewood, NM. She was born April 24, 1938 in Silver City to Manuel and Antonia V. Montes.
Evelyn was known for her famous tacos, burritos and most of all her tamales. She had a good sense of humor, a great smile and sweet spirit. She loved to sing and dance. Years ago, she sang with a band at the Brown Derby. She could often be found dancing and singing as she cooked. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne L. Monroe of Edgewood, NM; Elaine M. Madrid of Edgewood; one brother, Sam Montes of Deming; three sisters, Lydia Faber and husband Harold of Weston, CO; Mary Salazar of AK; and Nora Peña of TX; her grand-dog, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Fred, Joe, Ben, and Luciano Montes; five sisters, Lucy, Louisa, Leo, Ruth "Cookie" and Eppi; her favorite son in-law, Tom Monroe.
