Patricia Carolyn White Booth passed away July 25,2024 in Silver City, NM due to medical complications. Pat was born in Silver City on June 6, 1941 to Wade and Frances White. She graduated from Western High (now Silver High) and attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a BA in English. On August 8, 1963 she married Ernest (Ernie) Arthur Booth and after his military service they settled in Carlsbad, NM where he continued his veterinary practice. They raised three sons and lived there for many years before retiring to Silver City in 1996. Pat and Ernie designed and built the home where they resided for the last 25 years. Pat was baptized a Jehovah's Witness in 1970 and has been faithfully serving Jehovah ever since. Pat was a loving wife and mother, teacher, accomplished pilot and flight instructor. She loved Silver City and spending time at her home weaving and making sure the hummingbirds, plants, and Ernie were well fed.

She is survived by her husband Ernie Booth, sons Chase and David Booth, brother Stephen White and sisters Virginia and Frances White. She has three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ernie in 1987. Patricia is loved and deeply missed by her family and friends. We are lucky to have her in our lives.

Jorge Luis Porras Martinez, 34, Columbus resident passed away at Vista Hills Nursing Center in El Paso, TX.

Visitation will take place Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, funeral service to follow at 6 o'clock in the evening with Pastor Obed Rivera officiating.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Kathleen S. Hamilton, 90, a resident of Las Cruces, NM, entered eternal rest surrounded by her family on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.

Thomas Dale "Tommy" Drummond passed away July 24th at his home in Buckhorn, NM, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Silver City, NM, on September 10,1941, to Frank and Mildred (Brown) Drummond.

He graduated from Cliff High School and Western New Mexico University. While attending WNMU, he worked at the Grant County Sheriff's office as a radio operator and jailer where he made many lifelong friends. Upon graduation from college, he moved to Tucson, AZ, where he worked as a life insurance salesman until he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam era but ended up serving most of his time in Italy. While living in Tucson, he met a lifelong friend, Larry Gannon, with whom he spent lots of his free time, hunting and fishing, and who would follow him to Buckhorn upon his retirement. Shortly after his Army discharge, Tommy moved back to Buckhorn where he met and married Connie in 1974 and they made their home along Duck Creek. He spent several years working for Hollimon Construction building houses in the Silver City area and finished his career by retiring from the NM State Highway Dept. at Cliff. They raised one son Tracy Drummond.

Acencion "Chon" Manzano, 78, of Silver City passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. Services are pending

Felix Young Amador, 71, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered into the arms of our Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Banner Hospital, in Tucson AZ. He was born on May 15, 1953 to his parents, Guillermo Rel and Emilia (Young) Amador in Bayard, New Mexico.

He worked at the mine for Kennecott/Phelps Dodge. He received his Associates in Applied Science from WNMU. He also worked for James Hamilton and Allied Barten as a security guard for many years.

Felix was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and devoted loving husband. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family & friends. He loved to fish and go camping. He spent his last few years traveling and participating in activities with "The Divas". He was a Catholic by faith, an AZ Cardinal fan by heart and an exceptional man with a big heart and giving soul. He will be missed deeply.

He will be remembered for many things; his love of music and dancing, a jokester with many jokes and stories to tell along with a couple of magic tricks. Felix was very outgoing and was the life of the party. According to his grandkids he could fix anything. His memory will remain embedded in those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and continue to feel our love.
