It is with profound and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel (Manny) Garcia and his beloved wife Dora Chavez Garcia.
Manny was born on June 20,1944 to Calxitro and Trinidad Porras Garcia, in Central, New Mexico now known as Santa Clara, he was the fourth of eight siblings. Manny attended grade school in Central and graduated from Cobre High School.
Dora was born on May 10, 1947 to Manuel and Mickey Chavez in Silver City, and was the youngest of 3 children. She attended St Mary's Academy, and the local public schools, also attending Silver High School. She graduated from beauty school in Las Cruces and worked as a beautician in Silver City and Albuquerque.
Gino Segura Vannatter, 23, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Gila Regional Medical Center, in Silver City, NM. He was born on October 3, 2000 to his parents, Herman Ronald "Ron" Vannatter, Jr. and Gina Marie (Segura) Turrieta in Silver City, NM.
He is survived by his parents; his brother, Nathaniel Vannatter of Silver City, NM; his sister, Nicole Vannatter of Bayard, NM; his nephew Nathaniel Vannatter, Jr.; his two nieces, Adaline Vannatter and Esmea Segura. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raul S. Turrieta, III.Â
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at 9:00am to 10:00am, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The funeral service will commence at 10:00am with Pastor Mario Ogas officiating. Interment will take place at Pinos Altos Cemetery following the service.

Marji Nevarez Campos departed from this Earth on March 11, 2024. Â Â Marji was born May 28, 1974 in Silver City, NM. Weighing 8lbs 8oz. to RoseMary Nevarez Campos and Ramon Padilla Campos. Marji is survived by one sister in-law Rosie Campos. Two nieces Melanie Campos/Jay Ornelas and Elizabeth Campos; an Uncle Joe G. and Aunt Rosie Nevarez; her Auntie Nina Dolores Rodriguez; her best friend and caring caregiver Teresa Wright.; cousins, Wally, Joe Jr, Trinidad, and Louis/Deena Nevarez. Jocelyn/Cole Conner. Susie/Henry Turrey and Patty Rodriguez. She left behind many people she cared about.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her big brother Ramon Campos Jr, Maternal grandparents, Trinidad and Trinidad Maria Nevarez. Her paternal grandmother Daria Padilla Campos; her uncle/Nino Danny Rodriguez; cousins, Sabrina Campos and David Rodriguez.
Marji, was a proud 1992 graduate of Cobre High School where she played the flute in marching band, and played volleyball on the Cobre team. She loved her cats and dogs and surrounded herself with the things she loved. She loved playing computer games and reading her stories online. The holidays were important to her, she loved Halloween and Christmas. She enjoyed watching scary movies and Hallmark Christmas movies. She will be missed by many who cared for her.
Shirley Easley, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, peacefully departed this world on December 27th, 2023, in Silver City, New Mexico, to join her heavenly family. She was born on November 9th, 1935, in Englewood, Kansas.
Shirley's legacy is cherished by her five children: Rex (Shirley, affectionately known as "Bad Shirley") Butler, Jim (Karen) Butler, Cydnia (John) Mahl, Brett Butler, and Jamie McCrea. She was a loving presence in the lives of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.Â
We know that Shirley is happy in heaven with those who preceded her there. Parents, siblings, and 4 of her grandchildren. Â
Throughout her life, Shirley dedicated herself to hard work and service. In Silver City, she contributed her talents to the Furniture Gallery, Oakridge Homes, and J&J Signs until her retirement at the remarkable age of 80.
Manuel Olivas Jimenez, 84, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday March 9, 2024. He was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.
Manuel was born on August 29, 1939, in Rincon, New Mexico to parents Mateo and Aurora Jimenez. He graduated from Las Cruces High School and went on to join the United States Air Force, where he rose to the rank of sergeant. He married his dear wife Mary Margaret Orosco on January 5,1963, and they welcomed three children together. They were married 57 years until her passing in 2020. After his time in the Air Force, he worked as an engineering technician for the highway department for many years until his retirement in 1991.
Many will remember Manuel's love for photography, as he leaves behind decades of precious memories carefully documented for his many descendants. Some will remember his love for technology and how he was always the go-to guy for fixing computers. The way he skillfully played the guitar by ear will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to hear it. And lastly, he will be remembered for his endless love for his family and the generous heart that made him who he was.
Jaime Jimenez, 57, Deming resident passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born September 3, 1966 in El Paso, Texas to Jose Jimenez and Socorro Regalado.
A funeral liturgy will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Deacon Bill Holguin will officiate. Jaime will be laid to rest next to his parents in T or C, New Mexico at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Jimenez; 2 children Jaime Jimenez Jr. and Maria Ticona; 4 siblings Jose Luis, Jesus, Armando, and Sonia Jimenez. As well as his one and only grandchild. Jaime was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Socorro Jimenez.

Ermelinda Morales, 75, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 9, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 9, 1948 to her parents Marciano and Sarah (Rios) Flores at Santa Rita, NM.Â
She was born in Santa Rita, NM and graduated from Riverside High in Riverside, California. She rejoined the work force late in life after being a care giver for her mother for over 20 years. She worked at the first-born program where she provided education and resources to many families.  She then joined Wal-Mart where she had some of her happiest years and made many dear friends. She felt that her calling in life was to take care of others. She loved being in nature, planting, rock hunting, singing, dancing, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. When she entered the room, you can feel the love and happiness she radiated.  She will be loved and greatly missed.Â
