Marji N. Campos, 49, a resident of Hurley, NM, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, NM. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
Juvencio "Juby" Ramirez, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. Juby was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on September 21, 1951, to Juanita Chavez and Miguel Ramirez, and graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1972.Â
While in high school, Juby held several jobs at the local gas stations working as a gas attendant and servicing vehicles. Wherever there was a vehicle that needed work, you did not need to look very far to find him – under the hood or underneath the vehicle. And thus began his career in the field of auto mechanics.Â
Juby served in the National Guard in 1973 and then went active in the Army in 1984 until his retirement in 1999. For over nine years, he was employed by Phelps-Dodge in Tyrone as a mechanic and then worked with James Hamilton Construction. Juby moved to Bernalillo, New Mexico and was employed by the New Mexico Public School District until he retired.Â
Anna Marie Gutierrez, age 57, of Socorro, NM passed away March 5, 2024, at her home.
Visitation for Anna will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurley Cemetery.Â
Anna was born August 24, 1966, in Silver City, NM to Jaime and Tillie (Diaz) Gutierrez. Anna had lived in Texas for most of her life until relocating to Socorro, NM several months ago. She had a love for animals and did almost anything she could to protect and care for them. Anna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Anna is survived by her father, Jaime Gutierrez of Socorro, NM; sister, Yvonne Hundley (Kyle) of Texas; nephews, Gage (Emersyn) Hundley, and Coy Hundley; niece, Brisa Hundley; as well as several other aunts, uncle, and cousins. Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie Gutierrez in 2011.
A luncheon will be held to honor Marian Darr Reynolds Shannon on March 16th, 2024 at the Lordsburg-Hidalgo County Museum with prayer being offered at 11:45 am NM TIME and lunch served at noon and ending at 1:30 pm. The Museum address is 710 E 2nd Street, Lordsburg, NM.
Lunch and beverages will be provided to all. Ramona's and Marie Silvas and crew are preparing the meal.
My mom was adamant in not having any kind of SAD service. She did NOT like funerals. I want to be very clear that this is a lunch filled with kindness and friendship and food shared with the many people near and far that she adored. Those were the things my mom LOVED.
Ermelinda Morales, 75, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her residence. She was born on December 9, 1948 to her parents Marciano and Sarah (Rios) Flores at Santa Rita, NM.Â
She is survived by her husband, Ygnacio "YB" Morales; her three children, Rosalinda DeLaLuna, Tammie Dominguez and Judie Dominguez; two grandchildren, Leala Martinez and Marcos Martinez; her three brothers, Marciano Flores, Jr. of El Paso, TX, Robert Flores (Marcy) of Arenas Valley, NM, Andy Flores Gomez (Mary Lou) of Mimbres, NM; her three sisters, Virginia Arriola (Frank) of Tucson, AZ, Mary Lou Rivera of Silver City, NM, Juanita Perez of El Paso, TX; her numerous loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son in law, Kenny Graves, Jr.; her brother-in-law Merijilo Rivera.Â
David Aguirre, 47, On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6th, David, also known as "Super Dave" went into eternal rest alongside his beloved mother. Â While passing into paradise, David was surrounded by his loving family. Â
David was born on March 5, 1977 to his parents, Juan M. and Evangelina (Esqueda) Aguirre, Jr., in Silver City, NM and was raised in the canyons of Fierro with his siblings and countless cousins. Â He attended school within the Cobre District and graduated from Cobre High School in 1995. Â While in high school, David began working for Cali's Plumbing. Â Later in life, David obtained his journeyman's license and took over Cali's Plumbing. Â For over 32 years, David was a fixture in the community providing services to his customers who were more like family to him. Â He especially loved helping his elderly customers. Â
As a young father, David always took his responsibility of loving his three daughters unconditionally. Â He always went above and beyond for his daughters; no words can explain the love he had for his daughters. Â
For the past eight years, David shared his life with his fiancé Melanie Gomez.  During time, David shared his love of life through hunting, camping, bike runs and a good night at the bar with Melanie. Â
Arturo Morones, 90, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 8, 2024 at his residence. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
Viola M. Grijalba, 90, of Hanover passed away Friday March 8, 2024 at Genesis Silver City Care Center. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels. Service arrangements are pending.
